This charming townhouse, situated near one of the most popular squares in Antwerp, Belgium, showcases numerous original art-deco elements that we were eager to preserve.
Our approach involved restoring the original features while designing new furniture with a deep respect for the house's context. The kitchen exemplifies this strategy, featuring clean white lines and a curved backsplash that harmonizes with the art-deco style of the residence. The introduction of marble countertops further elevates the space with a touch of luxury.
To infuse warmth and character throughout the house, we opted for stained oak. This choice extends to the bathroom, where stained oak combines with pink wall tiles and marble flooring. The subtle nod to the colorful art-deco aesthetic, represented by the pink, serves as a striking contrast to the rich dark wood. The custom-designed shower panel, tailored for this project, seamlessly integrates into the existing design language.
Our design considerations extended to the terrace and garden area, where we crafted a bespoke balustrade in the art-deco style of the house, painted to match the exterior windows.
